Book Review: The Bodyguard by Katherine Center
Okay guys, so I don't even know where to begin with this book. The Bodyguard by Katherine Center was exactly the book I needed. I had been stuck in an awful reading slump for about a month and a half, and this was the first book I picked up. When I tell you guys from the moment I picked it up I couldn't put it down I'm not joking. It literally pulled me straight out of my reading slump. From the very first chapters I was legitimately hooked and didn't want to put the book down. One of my favorite things about this book was how it flips society's expectations. Normally we see male bodyguards, but this book flipped the narrative and gave us a strong, capable female bodyguard, Hannah Brooks, who is assigned to protect a famous actor, Jack Stapleton. I loved this twist so much, like ✨girl power✨. It was so refreshing and empowering, and I think it makes the story stand out. And of course one of my favorite tropes... fake datinggg.
